Autism Awareness at EQ

Posted Date: 02/26/26 (02:14 PM)

Good evening,

We at East Quogue Elementary are excited to partner with two meaningful organizations in support of Autism Awareness: Hudson's Helping Hands and Flying Point Foundation for Autism. Both organizations have strong connections to our school community, and we look forward to supporting them together.

Hudson's Helping Hands will be joining us at our April 15 Whole School Meeting, and we would love to see as many students and staff as possible wearing “Inclusion Is Cool” apparel. Sweatshirts, t-shirts, and hats are available at various price points. Please refer to the attached flyer for the QR code or use the provided link to shop online.   Hudson's Helping Hands
➡️ All orders must be placed by March 5 to ensure delivery by April 15.

In support of Flying Point Foundation for Autism, we will be holding a monetary collection from March 1 through April 14. These donations will help fund the Go-bags created by the organization for our first responders to help them respond with the tools needed in our East Quogue Community.  Donations may be dropped off with their teachers. This organization has generously supported many families in our community by providing unforgettable experiences for our students diagnosed with autism.

Together, we can make East Quogue Elementary show up in a big way for Autism Awareness.
Thank you for your continued support.

Warm regards,
Erin Dunbar, Paige Bonner and Jennifer Owens
